The INDO-US WORKSHOP on Smart Machine Tools, Intelligent Machining Systems and Multi-scale Manufacturing will be held at PSG Tech from December 18-20, 2008. The Workshop is organised by PSG College of Technology, sponsored by Indo-Us Science and Technology Forum, New Delhi.
The focus of the present workshop is to sensitize the young academic community from institutions like IITs, NITs and other premier technological institutions in India about the ongoing research in the area of Smart Machine tools, Intelligent Machining Systems and Multi-scale Manufacturing in both India as well as USA and encourage them to take up joint / network research activities.
The major topics that will be covered are Smart Machine Tools for Error Free Machining with Dynamic Compensation for Thermal and Mechanical Deformation of Structures, Reconfigurable Manufacturing, Intelligent Manufacturing, Multi-Scale Manufacturing, Metrology for Precision Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing
The Workshop will be inaugurated by Dr.P.Radhakrishnan, Director, 
PSG Institute of Advanced Studies; Mr. N K Dhand, President, IMTMA; Dr. J. Mazumder, University of Michigan, USA.
Accommodation for guests and delegates from educational institutions is arranged at appropriate hotels on twin sharing basis.
