The railway gate located on the Polllachi Main Road between "SIDCO" and "EACHANARI" acquired a new Alarm  system that sounds to alert the passersby and the speeding vehicles while it closes for the passing trains.

The alarm gives a warning sound when the train is approaching at a distance of 2 kms. so that the pedestrians  and the passing vehicles are alerted about the approaching train. This is a huge blessing as more than often vehicles used to get stuck while the gate is about to close or ram int closing gates causing inconvenience for the approaching trains as well as the road traffic.

It will good if such a system is introduced by the railway authorities on all manned and unmanned railway corossings to avoid accidents.
