Coimbatore: The Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore will conduct an Army recruitment rally for Soldier Technical category (on trial basis) will be from March 5 to 7. According to an official release, the rally will be held to enroll candidates from the districts of Coimbatore, the Nilgiris, Salem, Madurai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Erode, Namakkal, Theni and Dindigul. Candidates must be between 17 and a half to 23 years of age. They must have passed Plus-Two with physics, mathematics, chemistry and English as subjects. Married candidates below the age of 21 are not eligible to apply. Selection for candidates from Coimbatore, Theni, Dharmapuri and Salem will be held on March 5. Those from Madurai, the Nilgiris and Erode should attend on March 6 and those from Krishnagiri, Dindigul and Namakkal should attend on March 7. Interested candidates should report to the Army Recruiting Office at 6 a.m. Written test for selected candidates will be held at Nehru Stadium on March 29 at 5 a.m. Physical fitness test for the successful candidates will be held at the Police Recruiting School, Coimbatore, from April 8 to 10.
