Coimbatore: Axis bank's (South zone) planning for 17 extension counters in this zone initially. The process of upgrading 13 of these branches is over already. The remaining  extension will be done before the end of this fiscal. The RBI has given the bank licence to add another 55 branches in this zone. Axis bank have firmed up 32 locations and these would become operational by March 2009.
Axis bank operates active on providing the home loans, auto loans and personal loans. The company has already around 1200 home loan customers in Coimbatore alone.
